Embedded controller, HMI and communication protocol for a selective spraying system with camera-based plant detection.
For a European precision agriculture client, a selective spraying system was developed that uses a camera to recognize plants and targets the application of agents only where needed.
The work covered the design of the hardware and software specification of the embedded controller, software implementation and HMI, and definition of the communication protocol.
Key elements:
An embedded system was developed connecting plant detection, spraying control logic and the operator interface into a whole tailored to operation on agricultural machinery.
The developed system enables more precise and economical application of agents in agriculture through targeted spraying based on plant detection.
The firmware developed in this project partly served as the foundation for the 5GRCS remote control platform of Homa Engineering.
